The Arbiter's Fang no aug slot!

When I got this item a few months back I asked around and was told fang's dont get aug slots. Today I noticed on fomelo Gashalla's fang does have an augslot. This is an injustice. Similar fang earings both should have aug slots!
 
zoti, crystal of the core doesn't have one either. I've seen Jayelle try and justify this because "there's no room for an aug slot in a crystal or a fang" but there are other items with similair names that have them. I feel it's pretty silly that specific items get pegged as "having no room for a slot" because when you're planning out your upgrades you have to automatically deduct -5ac, -12hp, or -30mana depending on which aug you normally put in to your gear and it basically "lowers the tier" of the item.

p.s. if you decide not to do this please nerf Gashalla's Fang because its over powered.

Yes Arbiter's Fang should have an aug slot too, or be a higher quality than it currently is to make up for the fact it doesn't have one.
 
The reason I brought the crystal in to this conversation is because the Arbiter's Fang didn't have an aug slot for the same reason that a few 'crystal' items in the game didn't have an aug slot, because "there aren't room in crystals or fangs for an aug".

It would be dumb for me to go make an exact duplicate of this thread and insert "crystals" wherever "fangs" are mentioned.

I think the point is that most items left without an aug slot are supposedly balanced without it. You can make any "RP" argument you want, but if it's balanced, it's balanced - and it should not be getting an aug slot.

There are some cases where items don't have aug slots because they are merely oversights, and of course this is the place to ask.

The term "balanced" is relative. The earing is nice (+145 mana) but its the rarest drop and an aug slot wouldnt unbalance it. This game is not perfectly balanced and no one ever claimed it was!

Lets say for the sake of this argument that the fang did have an aug slot and only 120 base mana, its not too much better than sorcerous crystal ring off yinazra which is far far easier to obtain. I know im comparing rings and earings here but I think its a fair comparison. To say that the earing is "already balanced" confuses me (see OP).

The only point im trying to make is that no one even knows if this is balanced or oversight or what, according to Xeldan its worthy of an upgrade end of story.

I'm not making the final call on this, I was merely stating if an item in a slot that typically has augment slots doesn't have one, then it should be of a higher quality than items in that same tier that do have augment slots. I didn't personally design the fang so it's not my judgement call if it fits its tier or not.
