Hey buddy those gloves have 1ft on them by default and for some reason the wiki doesn't have it listed on the normal version, dont go trashing leskala gloves!!!!

Okay, that just futher solidifies the point that the ornate armor is nowhwere NEAR what it should be - nor is the stormforged/dragonfored stuff etiher.

On a more serious note, it is true that quested stuff should be considered for being 'better' than straight dropped stuff IMO... even if ' easy ' to obtain. The amount of time required to get to a boss is already factor at deciding stats, I don't see why it wouldn't be the case here.
The fact that it is a time sink is even MORE releveant to the discussion at hand. No one wants to drop 1 week of farming trash + named to get some gems and having it suck beyond being flash with bling .

ok i did this thing here are some notes:
1) some dragon pieces are better, some giant pieces are better
2) because they are divided by armor type and not class or archetype, some pieces are better for some classes than others
3) this bump is in a vacuum: there is no valid reason to say "ornate is now XXX so combine should be YYY" or similar.
4) some of these values may not be where i want them, but everything is better now

My ranger has 500+ AAs and is two tomes completed. Still wearing 3 NDHK drops.
I agree, however, that the quested armor from DHK is pretty weak. I wore the arms for about a week before I got an upgrade, and that's it. Never wore any other piece - although I keep the BP in my inventory at all times for the clicky.

Considering how long it can take to get just the gems for BP and legs I really don't see how people are saying it's easy to obtain once you get your faction up. Even more so for leather or chain classes. Chances are that if your guild is farming NDHK for gems you're only going to get the 5 you need for the clickies. Unless you luck out and everyone else in your armor type has their 5 already. So even with an improvement (I don't know how much they were improved yet.) I doubt you're going to see many people running around in suits of ornate giant/dragon armor.
