Tagged! A PvP question.

I was considering whether to tag my character for PvP; however before i make this decision, I have a few questions: if i tag myself, does this mean I will not be able to receive beneficial spells from other players (i.e. heals, buffs, etc.). In addition, will I be exposed to harmful spells from (non-pvp) players, such as AoE spells? Basically, I am asking: does tagging yourself PvP change nothing, but the ability to engage other tagged pvpers? I asked Delaya's Beginners, though i got mixed answers, any help would be appreciated.

PvP is pretty borked on SoD.

From my understanding of the current changes:

You can only be engaged by another "tagged" player within 10 lvls of you. You will be hit by AoE spells by other tagged players within your range if you are within the AoE range of the spell.

As far as healing/recieving buffs.. last time I was hit in pvp it rendered my unable to be buffed/healed until I zoned.

Like I said, its pretty buggy.

Trust me, I'm not trolling when I ask the following. What is the problem with the listed things and why do you think it makes pvp buggy?

It's more a matter of concern in groups. Quite a few times I've had both stope and kaon in group, both flagged, both not attacking each other through any means whatsoever, and sometimes heals just don't land. I'm not talking missed a heal either. I'm talking at like 70%. mobs dead, topping them off, why is my quick/groupheal not landing.

With one person in I haven't really seen a problem.

Explanation:
Imagine grouping with someone and not being able to heal them after they rained a mellee or a pet... even after a few minutes... what if this were a raid and you were in the middle of an encounter. Doesn't sound like a good situation, or an intended situation to me.

You basically have to unflag pre-groups/raids in order to not have the occasional hassle, even if you are actively trying to avoid certain things such as this.

I would have to say that the hassle of having to refresh is not as big as the headache of immy healing. Both for the player and PvP in general.
