Strange Graphic during battle problem, revisited.

This is a thread to discuss and possibly try to find a fix for those users with Quad Cores, and the possible chance of 8800 GTX's. Basically ive done everything I could to fix the massive first person combat glitch that happens to me. None was effective.

Basically I run a Intel Quad Core, if I go to processor affinity Ill see 4 CPUs going. Everything Ive done consisted of going into bios to disable Quad Core Technology changing it into essentially, a Duo Core. I used a application I found online that can preset affinitys automatically to desired programs, and it basically worked since when I turn on the SoD patcher, I would go into its process and its affinity and only CPU 0 is on. I would run the game and find that its affinity is reading 00 on the process list.

After all this I still get the problem, so I went and looked at my Two Vid cards. I turned off SLI Technology, went into 3dsettings, turned off Trillinear, changed Threaded Optimization to off, then changed GPU Acceleration to Compatability mode.

I go ingame, and the problem still occurs after having done all this. My processors are masked, the game is only using ONE CPU. So in all I believe its the Video Card itself causing the problem. If anyone can give any ideas on what to do, or owns a 8800 GTX and can give their idea, I would like to know. Thankyou.

Postin screen links btw to show the problem. It happens everytime I do a melee strike in first person combat. Third person though nothing happens. This is fighting a moss snake outside the town gates looking down, same thing happens no matter what direction I look, happens every melee strike no matter what so long as its first person.

still tryin recommended fixes from the link you gave.

Well I tried the fixes in that link, updated the information for my multi threads. Nothin works. Ive met other GTS and GTX users who has the same exact problems and cannot find a way to fix it. I spoken with them ingame. Guess theirs nothin to do for it =/

In a short chat with Wiz on IRC he suggested adding the suffix -dx8 to exgame.exe. It's a wild guess, Nvidia may be dropping support for older games as they release newer cards.

Has anyone tried -dx8 and has it worked?
I've yet to buy an 8800, but might rethink things if this doesnt work.
