STOP CRASHING

It was fixed while I was online, and I immediately noticed login and load times are faster than before the problem. Well done!
 
I have seen some improvment. I can log in toons 1 at a time and it will work 75% of the time, but if I try and port to zone them at the same time 1 will always crash.

I have tried chaning the datarate from everything from 3 to 9. 3 seems to help a marginal amount.
 
Unfortunately, those who had problems prior to the ~20th of December are unlikely to be related to the Santa Troll induced problems.

It is a bit ironic though - we might have stumbled on the problem with zoning into Hatesfury while debugging this. Stay tuned, as we are still unsure what exactly was going on.
 
Out of curiosity how many players having these issues have Dynamic Lighting enabled?

Personally my PC isn't the best but I can run Skyrim at 34 FPS on medium settings so there's no reason a game from 1999 would be hard LOL core temps on the gpu/cpu never break idle when playing SoD.

I turned off that setting and the lag spikes/crashing stopped and oddly enough I traced back to the time it started for me to the patch where they added a ton of new light sources.


P.S. I'm posting this in another thread so more players that it might help see it.

Here recently I have been having major issues with crashing while zoning. I will have to ctrl atl tab and end the process through my task manager, and then patch back in. I will check the dynamic lighting setting and let you know what I find...

I have nothing checked and lighting off... Still crashing! Just an update.
