Stasis: mez

Hi. An idea has been bouncing around my head. I was thinking of ways it could be too overpowering or too useless so I wanted to throw it out here just to see what you guys thought:

Enchanter AA, Stasis:

Basically Mezes any NPC, regarless of level, and drains the casters mana for the duration. Mez breaks when the caster runs out of mana. Also, caster is basically mezed themselves while under the effect,(silenced, not even chat enabled). The mana drainage would be based off the level of the NPC. That way you couldn't mez penerilia for an hour. Maybe you could hold off a >65 npc(raid) for a couple ticks...very situational. However, you could also use it in a lot of instances where CC was important, and necessary. Because it would be reliable.

It would also have perma-mez as a prerequisite and be expensive, obviously
 
Problem would be that an encs mana (and life?) would always be sacrificed at the start of a raid so something could be mezd like this then debuffed so you didnt have to fight it unslowed..

i have also thought of this idea, it would need to be worked out a bit more but good idea IMO

Mez raid mob, debuff, let raid mob come.

Shit, you could have multiple chanters doing it and then having everyone else manadrain it.

Hmmm, valid point. Im thinking MAYBE a nice timer on it to make it a one shot wonder? Then again, it would be handy to use in groups if needed so hmmmm or I guess set the cap on lvl 65. That way you could only hold things in stasis that were equal to you or less (lvl wise at least....I am SO equil to WW dragons :roll: )

You can already mez level 65 mobs. :)
 
Oh yea, I totally see it now. Thats why shaman cant have a low agro slow aa because they can already slow mobs and such. Oh yea, and also it would mean that they were always used at the start of a raid fight to help slow the mob. Yea, I see where that would suck.

Shamans don't have a low aggro slow AA, and something that could mez raid mobs would allow you to COMPLETELY dispel and debuff the mob.
