starfall 2.0

I will like to suggest Starfalls 2.0, which will be an upgrade from the original starfalls but designed for players lvls 60-65. I think this will be fun, and as long as tehy keep it as the original where they require no more than a single group, lots of exploration and patience, perhaps this ones could have more lore. Will like to see it tailored to the 60-65, single group, because thats when you really need the gear to raid, and will help those guilds climbingthe ladder to get up and start doing bigger raids. Also will hope this Items to be as useful as they were to the lvl 35s doing the first starfall, which some people at lvl 65 are still wearing theirs, this items I will hope for them to be better than what named mobs drop from dungeons ofthose levels. Also some may need to be tweaked out, since at lvl 60-65 a warrior depends on 1handers over 2haders for their agro, perhaps the 2hander of thewarrior starfall for 2.0 could be improved to 1handers or some other better idea. But really will like to upgrade my starfalls and use them again, It also will promote people(who have not done them) to work on their first starfall if the rewards are worth it at the high end. Thanks for reading.

I agree, but that doesnt use any kind of tradeskills tho.

But maybe some camping and mobs that roams around some big zone

starfalls quest dont require any tradeskills just alot of exploring, going here and there, camping a couple of rare items/mobs and then a turn in, in which you usually get exp in the places the items drop. Well I kinda wish they had some more lore like the ring of newports, or maybe like the main quest. But other that that I think that when Adepts and Starfall were added people supported them and loved those 2 additions.

I am only wondering about how do you want to make this worthwhile for ppl that have high end raidgear? Somehow i doubt ppl will actually bother to do this kind of stuff unless it actually was as good as, if not better, then what they have already.

For instance, druid Crook of the Harvest would have to upgrade into one hell of an item were i to replace my Cillzia weapon & King shield for it! Somehow i doubt Wiz would make a quested item that could easily replace the combination of those two.

you know, my main has better than probably he could get from a possible 2.0, however would it not be fun? Hell yeah, will I wear it on my main, well that depends how good they are, but for pride hell yeah I would. see It is that attitude that makes the admin team wonder why they do things, I sure appreciate the starfall and would appreciate the upgrades. And like I said the purpose of it would be to give a hand to those people getting into the raiding tiers. Like starfalls was helping people get in the 50's. Think about the fun man, and more quests, aint you sick of raiding and farming AA exp? this will give the high end lvl people something else to spend their time on.

Maybe add something especific for your class

Like druid staff, would have a must equip turn into Mother Earth, with some sta, hp regen, and a little mana regent too.

Wizard, effect: 2% of crit (stack with anything)

Ranger, maybe a bow?

War, some aug that would proc a hate?

So maybe a quiver that provides a little extra bow haste?

similar to those in WoW?

Maybe give the quiver like 5% extra bow haste on top of whatever haste you currently have, with stats comparable to Flowing Black Silk Cloak and make it a back slot item.

I think Starfall 2.0 quests are a great idea.

tree illusion is client base and cant be used in most zones, pretty useless really. But I think your point is to make them with some sort of effect that will grat use to the wearer regardless of what other gear he gets later on, which is a good idea.

I think this is an awesome idea.

But could I add that I think they should all be actual weapons, unlike some of the current Starfalls?

Thank you for undestanding my idea.

Dont need to be a uber gear, just give the wearer some effect.
Just like lifeward...

Weapons (except for casters) are about the worst thing they could be since weapons are the things that get replaced/upgraded most often. For the reward to be a weapon and to be usable for any length of time they would have to be seriously overpowered for the effort required to do the quest. I think one of the dual wear slots (ear, wrist, finger) would be a better choice as you could continue to wear the reward for a much longer period of time.

/agree certain slots I've noticed are far harder to replace than others, especially for casters. Cloaks for example are in pretty short supply for casters, as well as sleeves. Had factionarmor on my mage forever, then shadowsilk sleeves and coralsha's cloak that I still wear. Droppable alternatives with these slots are usually either totally gimp, or shadowsilk. Would be nice to have some variety therre.

rings arent a bad idea either, but rings I think would tend to go down pretty fast as a piece at 65, there are tons of options that are pretty badass. Ring of the Fluxator for example, droppable and has been on my toon since lvl1. Other options include ring of the plague seer, ring of frozen mana, desecrated band (used to be godawful for casters, still not great but not bad iirc), sorcerous crystal ring, and more. None of the above being all that hard to get, and more of a matter of luck and farmfundage than anything.

Face's arent bad b/c of blazing veil, and the map masks. As well as the meh 7 sights one.

Earrings are a definite possible option though. Good one's (at least ones better than bsaph's) are pretty slim pickings from what I've seen. There's that range inc one, there's the brill band of the moon (not exactly easy to get) the ft 1 one, and that's all I can really think of off the top of my head for caster ears.

Obviously of course I'm not suggesting that these should be better than raidgear, but a class specific alternative to lifeward as suggested above perhaps. Just pointing out there's quite a large gap in alot of the gear. Just some thoughts.

I vote for a ring.

Quests in general for 65+ would be great. From my experience now at 65 with a couple guys ~200 AA's, there are really no quests to do. There is the Ytraz which is basically for Warriors only, and now faction eliminates a portion of that select group. There is also the FP shield, and this is a great quest when you consider that the reward will last a long time. Another one I can think of is the Rivervale neck, and it's nice. Of course there are the new aug quests which add much-needed variety for things to do at 65, but other than a few quests, I definitely have found questing to be lacking at the 65+ game.

Id be for having starfall 2.0s I also agree with alton that having them be no drop augs would be great.
