Stacking issue - Torpor and Druid HoTs

I have been playing my shaman a lot lately and noticed something interesting going on with Torpor and Ancient Torpor and druid hots (Circle of Soothing and Ancient: Nature's Soothing). (edit: see post below for updated testing with cleric and paladin hots as well)

When I have Torpor running on myself, and a druid casts Circle of Soothing or ancient hot on me, torpor immediately falls off as if overwritten. However, while Circle of Soothing or the ancient hots are running, I can recast torpor and have it land on my and both run at the same time.

I'm surprised no one else has noticed this yet. Maybe this is just an issue with regular Torpor. I don't have ancient torpor yet so I cannot test that yet. Fairly sure there are no stacking issues with ancient torpor though.

If this could get looked into that would be great.

Thanks!

Ancient torpor does not have this stacking issue, both the DHoT and ancient can be active simultaneously. Can't speak for regular torpor.

hmm I've never noticed that, you mean cleric hots, or druid hots or just hots in general?

I got ancient torpor a week or so ago and I've noticed the same issue. I have not tested it with cleric hots yet but it seems to happen with druid hots thus far. It is really quite annoying. I will Canni 5 and torpor up and immediately a druid decides to run ghot and my torpor falls off. Yeah, I still get healed but I just wasted 100 mana. It's just weird that I'm able to land torpor while druid hot is running.

Perhaps I will log in right now and test this with cleric hots. I've also not tested it with relic druid hot.

Ok I just tested this both using Ancient: Slumber of the Beast (herein called "ancient torpor") and Torpor.

All tests involved casting ancient torpor / torpor on the shaman first, immediately followed by casting hots from the test character, then attempting a recast of ancient torpor / Torpor if overwritten.

DRUID:

Ancient: Nature's Soothing forces overwrite on both spells. Recast of ancient torpor and torpor stacks.
Circle of Soothing forces overwrite. Recast of ancient torpor and torpor stacks.
Relic: Sihala's Empathy - no stacking issue. Fully stacks with both ancient torpor and Torpor.

CLERIC:

Elixir of Bliss forces overwrite. Recast of ancient torpor and torpor stacks.
Ethereal Elixir forces overwrite. Recast of ancient torpor and torpor stacks.

PALADIN:

Noticed something interesting here. When I cast ancient torpor / torpor followed by Ethereal Cleansing, there are no stacking issues - both icons will show and tick simultaneously. However, when I cast Ethereal Cleansing followed by ancient torpor / torpor, the icon for ethereal cleansing disappears from the songs window but the paladin does not immediately receive a worn off message. The worn off message occurs at the normal time. This may be the case with the druid hots as well, but in the opposite sense (i.e. the ancient torpor / torpor icon disappears but the buff is actually still ticking and wears off at the appropriate time).

Further testing will indicate whether this is true or not, but I've got to go for now.

Has a dev taken any time to look into this? I would appreciate it.

Thanks!
