I question the 15 second cast time for the Effect: Illusion Earth Elemental and also the reason why a player in that illusion is kill on sight to the majority of NPCs.

becuase elementals are kos as well as wolfs. 15 second cast time for 6 mana regen a tick over the ft cap makes me happy not sure what ure smoking

Hes not talking about the Druid AA, hes talking about the illusion neck from cyclops gorge, the item is fine and if you can't wait 15 seconds for a spell to go off without moving, you need to learn patience, as for the KOS in cities, it makes only partial sense, since you go kos because 'ZOMG MONSTER IN THE CITY' but then if you kill your attackers, you loose faction, so its quite obvious they still know exactly who you are.

I can skellie illusion on my bard in athica and not be kos to guards and citizens.

Athica guards don't mind illusions. I wouldn't suggest doing it anywhere else though =P

Because unlike all the other dumb NPCs in the world, the people of Athica realize that they live in a world with druids, and enchanters and other people, who can turn into other things.

People in Newport / Other cities are dumb, and even though they live right nextdoor to Druids and Shamans and Enchanters and Rogues and Bards, they still freak out when they see a wood elf turn into a wolf, or an enchanter (Bob the illusionist, he lives right down the street from me!) turn into something scary. This makes perfect sense.

True story. I was grouped yesterday in Heartlands with a healer friend and we got trained. Poor guy died so I booked it at like 1% hp to the Silver Crown village. I actually made it to the village and sighed with relief until I saw I was still in Elemental form and they slapped me down for the remaining 1%. /sadfase

For Athica, it's supposed to be a player-managed city. That would be syduck: if they didn't see through their owner invis.
They're as dumb as other cities inhabitants, just less hate.
Otherwise I agree with Volk, people in skeleton / earth elem form and stuff shouldn't get faction hits while killing citizens under illusion.
