Spell Specializations?

Hey I have a question that no one in game has been capable of answering as of yet. Do the spell specializations...( such as the one that increases DD, DoT, and damage absorp) effect bard songs? And if not, are there any focus type items besides instruments that increase bard song effectiveness?

I recall Wiz saying in IRC and on the forums that no focus effects do now, nor will ever, effect bardsongs. Now by this I mean things like Focus Effects on items.

We also have a line of focus effect type of songs that DO somewhat work. The DoT focus effect song doesn't work on my dots or other folks dots yet - I've tested it many times. The DD focus effect songs (ala Fiery Warcry of Tarhyl) do increase nuke damage from wizards, etc...by a small percentage.

I believe he's talking about these... /cmd specialize energy/defense or /cmd specialize focus/mind.... He is wondering if those affect the bard songs.
