Paladins and SK's could use cha and mana regen as much as any Int caster, infact I will dare to say even more because we depend on casting/chain casting to maintain agro...unlike our cousins the warriors. on the other hand I will say that Int casters dont need the AC nor HP to function properly in a group, they need int and cha, they will die in a few hits regardless of the HP or AC if they get mega agro. an exampe to this is necklace of Najad with like 5 ac, 8 int, 8 cha and mana regen 1 which is ALOT easier to obtain to an equivalent knight plate neck will be ac 30, int 5, cha5, sta 5, agi 5, mana regen 1, hp 50, mana 25, why? because knights need all those stats to function properly the AC+agi to tank and the cha and int to hold agro and the mana regen to keep them from constantly pause pulling and tanking. The fact is that Int casters in a group only need cha, mana regen, intelligence and a couple of focus effects (that I have seen many and mostly VERY cheap), while a knight class needs a chuck of stats/effects to work in a group to the same lvl of productivity as a caster.
I can prove that getting a caster to max their effects and get 200+ int and mana regen of 3+ at lvl 1 is VERY possible (with cheap twinkage), however tanks even with twinkage I found them lacking. Point is that casters have AWSOME gear at lower to high lvls, while tanks are way far behind considering that in this server that tanks don't get bonus from AC (as a 12 AC BP will do the same on a warrior as it will on a wizzard) plate gear should have chunks more of AC than any other gear available for any oteher class. Been VERY disapointed at the plate gear that came out from smithing, Dalium armor is good for lowbie clerics but not for paladins and is even better than the step up Mithril, disapointed also with the ones I have seen so far from mob drops/quests in the game(seems you have to wear a crappy ass BP untill you get to a big guild and hope to get the strombreaker's BP, and from there not much found that you could upgrade). Knights dont get to sit down and med like most casters do, we depend on a good mana regen and our spells not resisted often. will like to end this that not just knights, warriors too could use this revamping, even mrore AC and HP than knight gear with lots of agro and damage reduction effects. Please correct me If I'm wrong.
*note I dont know by hand the correct stats to Najad's necklace thats what I remember*
*equivalent is measured on what I think will give same benefit to a knight as the najad's neckalce will do to a caster(it is objective)*
