Here are a few more pictures of my recent work. As you can see it's one hell of a huge project. It's all hammerd finished which takes alot of time to do plus make look good.

Anyways this is a full custom orders I'm doing for the guy. I still havent gotten any of the brass trim rivited on yet. Once I do it's going to totally be Hotsauce!!

I have about a million more pictures but I figued I would post just a few of them.

Most people who know me know that I'm a real life armor maker. I'm currently making tons and tons of finger gauntlets, the full suit displayed above, and 2 big armor projects for Underworld 3.

Anyways hope you guys like the pics. ;)

Though I don't larp, aspire to be a real life warrior, even like warriors, or want to emulate old knights, I have spent time browsing rl armor-makers online as a passtime and I must say, your work takes the cake. Also working on armor for underworld 3? You sir are now badass in my book. Boo Lycans Yay vampires.

Amazing work, I love the texture.

Yally, larping in real armor would be lol... i think they are more into foam and shit... 3k to wear around and larp in could be used for a 'real girl' for these guys!

It's all made from leather so I don't do any forging really. I do make it all from scratch from a big hide of leather. I can make just about anything armor wise. :)

Most of the stuff I sell is just production armor that I made patterns for a while back. I have a bunch of set designes and allow my customers to choose many options. They can choose their dye color, steel or brass rivets / buckles. This seems to work really well selling on the internet. Every now and then when I'm not getting slammed by orders I do special projects. The custom hammered templar suit is an example of my special projects.

Anyways here a few more projects enjoy.

Although alot of Larp members buy from us by far we cater more towards the SCA type. If you are interested in real medevil fighting go on youtube and type in "SCA fighting."

It's not wimpy by any means hehe. I'm a member in the SCA and activally dress up in real armor and fight others who have the same interests. I've also had the chance to participate in wars where there is 10,000 people who attend. Emagine the scale of that kind of warfare. :)

Tanned or untanned leather? Because 3k $ for an entire set seems a lot compared to what I'd pay here - I've seen handmade, quality chainmail for less but that might be because we have a lot more people doing that kinda work over here. Just curious, not trying to do any harm.

I used to make hand made chain a while ago. Problem is it takes forever and ever to make a shirt. Most people now a days buy then ones made in china and pakistan.

I use 8 - 10 oz Vegi tan leather on most of my stuff. As for projects I mostly cater to the higher end buyers. 3k for that suit also includes brass trim and a really sweet helmet with antlers on it. It's not quite done yet but I'll post some pictures of it once its done.

Right now I'm mostly selling my finger gauntlets on e-bay. Right now I'm to swamped with orders to post any but plan to in a few more days. The ones I usually post are around 90 bucks a set. The wisby's run 150 a pair. Those are the kind of orders that are my bread and butter. I currently have 11 sets I'm finishing up by monday. After that I have another 6 sets to prep for assembly. The dragon ones I showed sold for over 200 for the pair. the picture above 0534.jpg was 900 bucks plus shipping. I probably made about 25 - 30 of those sets in the last 2 years. I usually average about 10 sets of finger gauntlets per week production wise.

Trust me there is a huge market for this stuff. I only wish I could find someone up here in Alaska I could hire to help with with things LOL. My wife BTW who plays on SOD also is a really good leather crafter. She helps out quite alot on most of the leather projects. It's really funny when people ask what she does for work. She's like umm well I make leather armor. Thats usually followed by a what?? hahah

Here is an SCA demo down in California.

That might be it, over here you find quite a lot of medievil crafters, be it chainmail, leather, full plate, weapons or whatnot. So while there is a huge market for it the competition is probably different, I know various crafters that all work together on fairs but still sell on their own off-seasonal. Since you can just go to someone else and maybe find it cheaper prices tend to be a tad lower.

I would LARP with this armor on my real doll, ok?

I was in New Orleans recently and a fellow there suggested you put some of this up on YouTube.com ... referencing armor, celtic, etc. He is constantly searching for good vendors of hand made armor.

Good Luck in your business.
