SoD Help Guide - DRAFT

Problem is people aren't going to download the pdf. And people that are, are also the people who are also going to bother with searching forum before going THIS DOES NOT WORK HELLO HELP
 
I dunno, I would've rather have downloaded a tidy PDF to read than search the forums. When I first started, I had the benefit of an ex to set it all up for me because I am *that* lazy.

PDF is a great idea.

ugh i know .pdf is cross platform but I'm pretty sure .txt is too and doesn't slow down my computer to a crawl for 10 minutes when I try to open one.

If someone wants to repost it in a format I can read I'll take a look at it, I have a little experience with copyedting and such.
 
Not a PDF fan myself. Would prefer it in HTML if possible. There's always the chance that someone here doesn't have Acrobat Reader installed. :)

I'm going to agree with Tyrone on this. Acrobat is such a hog... PDF's open fast on my linux system at home because it doesn't use Adobe software to read them...but at work they open slooow.

I assume PDF was chosen for it's ability to put graphics into it and that's why it's not simply a text file?

If that's the case, I'll advocate for HTML/XML/etc etc instead.
