Silver Crown SRG work

I have to kill trees in GFay for the Sergeant promotion in Silver Crown. If I box my monk (evil) and kill with him, will my enchanter (Althuna pledged) avoid the alignment hits and be able to loot the bark? Before I try, I thought I shoudl ask. Thanks for any input!

Before anyone asks, I have done all the other quests except ally to birds/centaurs. Trees seems easier if I can box since I am KOS to centaurs.
 
You get alignment on the turn-in of the item, not on the kill of the Treant. Killing with a different character will only avoid faction hits.
 
Blast! Then I had better hope the ally with birds and centaurs finishes my Silver Crown promotion! Otherwise I am stuck.
