I have a request regarding the Silver Crown Quest Augmentation. I have a 65 warrior on SoD and right now I'm fortunate enough to have an armor piece that is categorized under type 5 (Cloth type I believe). I was hoping you guys might be willing to change the augmentation so that it can be class specific instead of limited to cloth armor. As a warrior, I'm wearing a majority of type 2 armor (Plate) and am probably going to be replacing my last two type 5 pieces, which will leave me with nothing to do with this quest aug but to put it in my bank. After putting the time in to do this quest, I feel I have the right to enjoy the augment fully. Anyways, thats my 2 cents.
 
I would have to rebut by suggesting you diversify. This is the first time I've heard someone say they dont wear any type 5 pieces. Besides, it's such a nice augment that it shouldn't mold to what you think it should be, but rather you weigh your options and choose accordingly.
 
Actually I agree here Im a paladin and I have 2 pieces of cloth Im sure one of which wont remain for too much longer and having this be a 2 or 3 would be so much nicer and not force me to keep items so I could keep the augment.
 
I agree about the frustration of it being an augment for a type of armor you don't typically see your class wearing, but there's a lot that would have to be added to have these augments be class specific. There's a certain point when quest scripts become TOO large and cause more lag in the zone than it's worth. I'll see if there's other solutions though like adding in additional npc's to give out the augments.

I feel your pain though, I did the quests on a shaman yesterday and saw a type 5 augment and thought, "Geez, I only have one or two type 5 items left, and one of them will be replaced soon".
 
Wouldnt it be possible to just mark it as a Slot 5 and a Slot 2 both? Live had augs with the ability to fit into more than one slot, maybe the program here can fit it too?

Seems simple, so it probably isn't.
 
I'll research that and see if it's possible. You have to remember we're using a fairly old client, so that may have been put in after our client's version. I seem to recall them only being augmentable on one augment type only at first.
 
It looks like the options are "All slot types" or a specific type, so I think we'll go with specific types since we want this augment to be an "armor augment" and not fit into jewelry like the MQ augment does.
 
The logic goes that there's usually one or two pieces of leather armor worth wearing even for a platemail class in the end - if nothing else, something like a haste cloak.
 
I know what you mean Wiz. Right now, I'm wearing the Black Headband of War(33% haste cloth helm), but im sitting on a Hollowed Golem Helm (Stasis Preserver plate helm) because the black headband of war can use the aug.
 
Is there any chance of getting this changed? I'm trying to upgrade my armor and unfortunately I don't have the option of getting a Crystalline belt of the Wind / Twitching belt to use the type 5 aug for. My only option right now is to downgrade one armor piece to wear a cloth aug.

Just don't use the aug.
