Going to cut out the bullshit and just post the stats and the information
Sidrav's Proc:
275dd, DR check, no adjust, -50 disease debuff, and the proc rate is much smaller than the xavara stick. The sidrav proc also cannot crit ( i would assume it's got something to do with the proc having a duration because of the resist debuff ).
Xavara's Proc:
425dd, FR check, -15 resist adjust, and a fairly significant higher proc rate than the Sidrav maul. The xavara proc can also crit raising its dps potential.
With bard songs and di7 and the mind/energy spec.. you're looking at at a 250 to 300 damage difference between the procs, and with xavara being able to critial, sometimes up to an 800 damage difference.
The Sidrav Maul is aquired after you beat MotG, then beat the Mani event, then beat Mirror golems, then beat Taeshlin, etc etc.. it's a very lengthy process even being able to attain the Maul, it took the current guild well over a year from beating MotG to seeing a Sidrav Maul. It took the same guild a total of a few weeks once we started playing around in sepulcher to get a Xavara stick, which is an easier mob than Deyranni.
Depending on the mob, the Xavara stick could ( and has ) out parse the Sidrav maul. I parsed both weapons on a pet earlier, in a 20 minute parse with each weapon, the sidrav maul proc landed 7 times, 0 crits, while the xavara proc landed 48 times, with 8 crits.
What I would like to see happen with this situation is to see the Sidrav maul get a resist adjust applied to the proc ( either the same as xavara's, or possibly a step higher), and for the proc ratio to be upped to the same as Xavara's. Once that's done, I think the procs will be balanced, on one hand you can reach far better proc dps ( with xavara, having 150 more base dd, and the ability to crit ), but on the other you get a resist debuff, which is also more aggro, so it's a good trade off imo.
