Should I remake my mage?

Currently I have a human mage level 6.

I put all the points into INT that I could then the last 5 into CHA.

So his INT is 110 and his CHA is 80.

I get ALOT of resists, its a real pain.

Was wondering if I should remake him and focus on CHA instead of INT at creation. Would it make much difference in regards to resists? If I am gonna do it I would like to do it before I level him up to a point where I have a time investment.

Thanks

I think your distribution of points is fine. You'll just need to focus more on CHA gear and less on INT gear. If you remake and focus on CHA, then you'll be looking for more INT gear and less CHA gear. In the long run, it won't matter. In the short run, look for some cheap CHA gear to get you going.

Doubt it. With 80 Cha, you're already way over what most Shamans or Necromancers start with. You'll be ok. The difference in resist rate between 80 and 100 Cha is extremely small.

If you're getting too many resists, you should first start by questionning your choice of targets and/or spell choices.

I am not sure how things work with resists and stuff. I have a bard with a chr of 86 (he is old and was made long before changes to resists) and only about 150 in mind/focus. Everything resists me. I have green things resist me. I would say since you are low level maybe changing your chr may be a good idea. You could have a million mana but if everything resists it isn't worth it. But keep in mind I have no idea how the resists work and I am only making a guess.

Maybe you should start gathering some logs, and find the exact resist rate, and if it's too high, then it will obviously be changed.
