Shortstaff of the Cold

That being said, i'd put this raid encounter at a high tier 6 at the *very least* simply due to the amount of mana it requires to keep everyone alive. Without spoiling anything here, i'm sure those who have done it/made it know what happens, and I can't think of any other encounter in tier 6 where healers have to have such a large mana pool.

I find this quite odd, because this is like the only fight that I can think of where I find myself bored, and loading Ymir himself up with like 3 DoTs (I am a druid). I can see where maybe having a lack of dps can really be detrimental to healer mana pools in this fight moreso than others. I am at a loss though.

I don't have this weapon, but it looks to me that since the proc is the most valuable trait of this weapon, why not leave the stats the same, but up the proc rate? Would make an awesome aggro weapon. idk.

after reading back even further, it says that ymir was changed back to his beta version. this might be what's causing the difference of opinion on his encounter.

Closer to his beta version. He's still alot easier than his original form (I think only CW got a chance to try that one).

Yeah. I've never fought the original version, but have fought the 2nd version and the current version.

I think numinous might have gotten to fight his original form, not sure. I know his early forms had some nice loot on it before he was nerfed, it was pretty hard at first and required a near perfect game from your raid.

Its also probably one of the more anti box fights in the game. If you are taking boxes to him expect to fail if they reset his difficulty.

With the exception of the Short Staff and Ymir's robe, nearly every item in the zone received a boost at some point.

Ymir's loot is still very good, even if his difficulty was boosted. If it was, good. It needed to be.

Edit: actually, even the short staff and the robe have both received post-nerf boosts.
