Shaman Pets, and Form of the Bear

I heard that shamans pet are dependent on thier race in SoD, this this true?

Alos do all shamans turn into bears under form of the bear (like the name implies)
 
Shamans pets are all wolves, no matter what the race is. Beastlord pets are dependent on the race. All shaman form of the bear spell turn the caster into a bear. It gives + to health regen, and wisdom.
