Shadowknight spells, utility.

At the moment, our self HP buff (Cloak of the Akheva) does not stack with our AC/ATK tap (Shroud of Nightmares). I was wondering if this is intentional, and if not, could it get fixed? Our group-based high end taps (Curse of Years[str/sta] and Vortex of Death[hp/mana]) kinda suck, could they be made to spread out along all linked groups? At the moment its pointless to save spell and buff slots for them in raids or groups.

Also, shadowknights only have the Voice line of spells (which enchanters can do)for any sort of raid utility. I mean, we can FD, if on a subpar level(and with the FD bugs lately, its almost better to just die.

Some Suggestions
Level 60:
Wave of Sacrifice: AE heal for 800pts, 1600dmg to shadowknight

Level 62:
Pact of Terror: Constant mana tap on shadowknight, increased mana regen on target (ok, maybe not)

Level 63:
Gift of Strength: Drain all shadowknight stamina, give to target/group
(maybe a stamina based tap from mob to group, stacks with druid regen)

Level 64:
Storm of Terror: PBAE based agro spell (I wish)

Level 65:
Kaezul's Gift: Reduces all resists on target by 10, gives to group.

Just throwing ideas out.

Also, some form of hybrid Relic type spells would honestly be awesome. Maybe even quested only.

I think Paladins should be left as masters of AE agro to distinguish the two classes so wouldn't be happy with SK's getting any pbae spells personally..

It was just a suggestion. We don't really need it, but I would help on random mis-pulls. We don't get any paci line to control what we do pull, unlike Paladins. So not only can they haste themselves, pacify pulls to get singles easily and quickly, but they can heal themselves, and others, as well as HP/AC buff. Shadowknights have an hp/ac buff, but the paladin one is much better, and overwrites it. Sks can FD, but with FD being all sorts of buggy, its kinda gimp. We can heal ourselves, but only if there is a mob around. Oh, and Harmshield ;)

I love Curse of the years. When a shadowknight casts this spell , it gives a huge amount of strengh to me and i feel it. My damages increase a lot (critical hits and backstabbs especially).
The stamina part of the spell is cool too , because I use to switch a lot between styles.
So it's not dumb or useless... I love it.

But yeah , some people might not notice its utility, simply because Curse of the years isn't perfect for all classes.

It 's maybe not the best spell affecting you shadowknights, but it gives aggro which is your job <3 , and give more DPS to the party(if you have melee DPS  ).
I don't know if this spell really affects the mob dps (strengh malus --> ATK malus ?). Do you notice a real change when you get hit ?

Anyway, just don't toss it when u think it's not appropriate. But i can tell you that melee-DPS (most of them) are always in need of STR/STA buffs.

It's my opinion.

<3 Shadowknights

Well, like I said, it only effects the group you are in, not the raid, and im usually grouped with healers, or people who have the max str/sta for their level. Its not worthless, just other things can be used in its place.

EDIT: and we have no problems with agro whatsoever. Any sk that needs CoY for agro is a lamer.

You can use your PBAOE dissempowerment (i think thats the one) for good ae aggro, I use it alot on my SK when a ranger pulls =/

That's what you said about necros!

You just keeping the dark classes down =)

We wouldn't be running official parses on Necromancers if that was the case.

SKs, however, are perfectly fine. I'd hazard to guess that Hodge is one of the single most powerful tanks on the server.

I do believe that the stance was that necro DPS is fine, not necessarily necros as a whole.
