Servant of Taraztu spawn rate

wahoooooo... oh wait i dont play anymore but kudos to TM on finally getting it changed when i tried before Wiz only lowered mana iirc. hopefully it will be something useful! oh and TM thanks for camping it for me hehe

Incorrect. Were the item to be out of line with difficulty getting it, but a significant number of people had already gotten it, it's the ITEM that must change, not the method of getting the item. If an encounter is too easy and dozens of people get items from it, the items should be nerfed. In this case, if the spell wasn't worth the camp time, the spell would need to be boosted (see: wizard spell). However, since paladins have and continue to camp it, it certainly seems to be worth the effort. And don't try to tell me it's required: it isn't, nowhere near on the level of war cmal gloves. It's got a 5 min recast. If you don't want to put the time into getting it, then you'll live without it, I'm sure.
 
Just hit up this named tonight. It was up already when we got there. Killed it, pal spell dropped. We had a guild pal come to group before we engaged it. Sure enough.. Easy peasy :toot:
 
I hat eyou :) i've killed this guy as a rogue for the mask, got that first time...beent rying to get guild wizzies and pallies it...prolly downed it 15 or so times in teh last 2 weeks (give or take a few days) and no spells at all...that was our spell! give it back! :p

I see your point. I wish it worked the other way around too for those Warriors who put their time in to get the gloves to have them nerfed to be next-to-useless.
 
I've been to this spawn with Bounta and Felyn over the course of the past 2-3 weeks for well over 70+ hours of total time. I have to say the PH / Named spawn rate has to be 1 of if not the lowest I've seen on dalaya yet. I know its more then likely not going to change but someone should look into changing the loot tables up a bit. We have killed servant I would say.. 5-7 times and the rest were PH's, and everytime the MASK has dropped. Imo increase teh drop rates on the spells if anything.

I don't know who you are. So do not take this personally, but:

If this is the rarest named you've seen on Dalaya my young friend, you, have not played Dalaya enough, nor carry enough experience to contribute anything to this.

This is spell that is deemed rare, and VERY usable for both classes. It should be held in the same regard as Shout of Agony, and this topic should be filed with the "plz weaken teh spider keeper" threads.

He's not that hard, I've taken various characters there, and successfully cycled all the greater imps with 2 or 3 people. The spells are uncommon as they should be, however I've gotten 4 OTHER paladins this spell, and 2 wizards, and do not personally want to see the drop rate, nor spawn rate altered at all.

Just because an item (spell scroll in this case) is good, does not mean you deserve to have it, nor should you be compensated for your sheer lack of patience, thank you.
 
I think Aragok was simply stating that the timer for this mob is the longest he has seen so far in Dalaya. Maybe we are both new, but we both have camped almost every XP zone there is in the game and several raid zones. The only thing that I know with higher spawn rates are raid targets or adepts. I believe we are just unlucky getting the spell, but we are not complaining about the camp at all. We clear pretty much the whole north side and a bit more on a full "cycle", so difficulty is not an issue. Waiting for the PH/Named just takes longer than most camps, and when only 1/10 PH's is a named (for us anyways), it is aggravating seeing the mask drop every single time (I think we have gotten at least one wizard spell). Maybe there are a lot more mobs with an hour respawn timer in Dalaya, we just have not encountered them yet, but it just seems weird that this is the only one we have seen in the game so far.

As a side note, RSM is pretty much a badass zone, and I don't mind the camp as it is average xp, but camping stuff for this long just wears on you a bit.

I still feel the spawn timer / drop rate is as it should be.

Bounta's luck, on the other hand (or karma maybe? maybe?) is a whole 'nother topic :/

Elds has an hour iirc. Also, see albino gnoll for a spawn time that makes you go gaaaaah! :)

Plus there's half a dozen nameds within easy striking distance from the Servant camp, and since it's a full hour repop you can easily hit all of them and be back in time for repop. Plus it's trivial to split. Plus the ph is obvious even if you've never been in the zone. Plus it's easy to avoid all the roamers. Etc etc etc.

The camp is fine as-is.
