Seeing no fighting animations

Hi guys, for some reason I can't see the attack animation of mobs, as in they just stand there doing damage but aren't swinging their weapon or fists I don't see attack animation of other players or my pet either, I only see myself swinging with my staff. I can see spell animation (both mine and others) just fine. It's been like this since I started playing (I haven't played any EQ before and bought the Titanium Edition for this server).

The stuff I've tried to do to fix it is totally remove the game (from the windows "add or remove programs" option in control panel and then deleting what was left in my eq folder) I've installed it in a new folder, I've tried different resolutions and different graphics options, tried running it without EQW, tried the different /filter commands. I've tried searching the forurms but it doesn't seem like anyone has had this problem before.

I am running Windows XP SP2, using a geForce 6600GT gfx card, 1gig of RAM, AMD64 3000+ , I guess it's not a big deal but It sucks watching mobs and party members just stand there. Please could you help me :psyduck:
 
IIRC, this is a setting in options for eq... Used to help a lot for raid lag back when systems sucked more. Social Animations I think its called? Try turning that on if it isnt.
 
did you use /cmd filter? Try disabling the filter. It was created to cut down on lag during raids.
 
Okay I feel reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaalllllllllyy intellegent now... from the beginning of the game when I started in the dream I saw the bad word filter and tried turning it off using /filter (was just a guess) must have turned those animations off then in my sad attempt to turn off the swear filter, /cm filter disable seems to have done the trick, lol thank you so much for the help, I'm soo happy it works now :dance:
