Seedfather Perma Charm

Great now my gear is being insulted, not everyone raids 24/7 and has gear with +50 Resist ALL on it. (and you can ask my guild.. I have the worst luck with RNG and Randoming for loot)

Considering you start at 25 magic resistance I have stacked 100 pts of resistance onto him... I would call that sub par by a long shot.

Just means the game mechanics are designed more around people have 200+ Resistance.

Like someone mention :) bards shouldn't never talk about Sub Par resistance stats :) anything short of 250 is low to them hehe.

You don't need to take it personally, because it isn't a personal attack.

Considering that maximum resists are 500, 125 doesn't seem like very much. (Also you have 75mr on fomelo atm, maybe the other 50 is on your shield?) Additionally, before engaging a mob that charms you should probably acquire some resistance buffs of some sort, to compensate for what is missing from your gear. Bards are extremely useful for this because as you noted, they have a MASSIVE +resist song.

A mob that is lower level than you can require some foresight/planning, especially named mobs. This isn't a game where you run into every situation swinging your sword and hoping for the best, even when mobs con light blue instead of dark blue to you. I don't see a problem with a lb to 65 named mob that must be tanked by a knight and range dpsed to death.

Sorry if it sounded like I was taking it personaly I just noticed I forgot the smily face in that sentence.

The 125 MR was with my Magic Resistance Buff so I guess my gear is SUPER sub par since I only have a 75 MR base :(, as to engaging charming mobs. I didn't know he charmed or I would have went in with Stoic right off the bat, certainly didn't expect a Auto hitting charm (or Uber hard to resist charm). Or my Own pet to attack my shaman along with my Paladin.

Bringing a bard is a novel idea when you know you need one, considering I was just boxing and working on gathering cores. It was hardly a "best" case vs Seed Father, considering I have never delt with him before. You seemed to have missed the part were I mention the only issue I have with him is that fact that he plays like a Raid mob. As in if you have 1 screw up in a group thats more of his hunting range then he can't wipe it. I just was subjesting prehaps a pause between charms, since this isn't a raid mob.

*shrug* if his charm only works on 1 target it doesn't matter, as it just means he was biult with Anti-Solo Farming in mind.

this appears to be some kinda spell ability the mob has. it IS resistable. this mobs really not as hard as people make him out to be... burst dmg is the key.. he doesnt have a lot of hit points. but i have personally resisted the charm. he does have the ability to use it for a long time but he doesnt do it forever... just like 20 mins=/ i found this out when i was chain charmed on my druid while waiting for him to finish me off... it is an interesting encounter.. and a GROUP going at it should be fine. dont complain if u cant solo it though.

A 65 should be able to solo a light blue mob.
Here is one for you then... go over to Mistwoods, solo Emaw! Go to the plaguelands solo the Rotlord. Ow wait, you get eaten as a wizzy. BUT BUT, OMG they are blue! :tinfoil:
