Scourged Treants

I have noticed since the Jayla patch that the plat drop rate off the Trees in W Plaguelands has been significantly reduced. I do not know whether that was unintentional when the new leaf drop was added, but it seemed to take place around that time.

A great many members of the community have farmed their Eternals and Supremes at this spot, and if this was an intentional nerf, hardly seems appropriate considering the fact that so many members were allowed to farm those charms for so many years.

There are very few places to farm charm money in SOD, especially places that dont interfere with others trying to exp (Sorcs,RSM,etc...).

At first i thought perhaps it was a bad streak, but after a couple weeks its definitely not my imagination, and several others that camp the spot confirm this as well.

Please reconsider this location to change the loot back the way it was, or if you need to reduce the plat drop rate, add some e or mod maps to its loot table. It always seemed to me that since every other mob had a chance at dropping maps this one should too.

Camps are changed all the time, and the good ones usually rotate around (probably to move people from zone to zone). Also, I think the staff wants to promote grouping for money (which will never be as good as solo), but I could be wrong. If a quest piece was added to them, then their cash was probably reduced to help scare people away and find a new camp.

Sometimes people get to take advantage of something before it is changed, and sometimes things are made better. Everything is always changing.

I also disagree with the nerf of this spot. Previously you could average 1k an hour at this camp. There are not that many people who can solo it, many people require groups to do this unless they're very well geared and xp'ed. I only know of a few people who can actually solo this and stay ahead of spawns - and of those people, some of them cannot break the spawn solo.

At 1k an hour, it takes about 1500+ hours solo to farm an eternal. Driving that time expenditure higher makes people simply not want to play, especially after the same camp has been farmed for years at the same rate.

While I understand the point you make Felyn, Eustace is saying what I feel. This spot take an insanely geared person with archaics and tomes to solo and stay ahead of spawns..and almost impossible to break it. Taking this from 1k-1200 an hour down to 700-900 an hour is extrememly noticeable if you put any time whatsoever into this spot.

Also, its very hard to get groups to go to ember and whatnot for those $$ items early morning times when I play. THis was teh one spot I had a chance at to buy a charm, and now its hardly worth the effort any longer.

This is the same argument that's made every time one of these changes are made (and it's certainly not the first). And low-and-behold, people still play!

plenty of people I know can solo that camp, as long as you consider solo to be their 2 best toons. Only person I knew that would actually solo it was Nwaij.
Also plenty of people stayed at that camp for untold hours until they got their charm. I personally like the idea that the camp would be changed as long as there is another spot one can go to get cash.

Okay, maybe you didn't mean to say "At 1k an hour" because obviously after 1,500 hour of making 1k per hour you would have 1,500,000 plat. The very crux of your argument is hyperbole. Your should dial it back a bit. Maybe your argument would get taken seriously then.

Unsure what happened here, but it definitely wasn't a result of anything to do with PoLore. Can't speak for other Devs, though.

I can solo it with eustace, either kiting them or meleeing them. It's not that hard if you have 400MR and 250FR and a lot of dps. But, most people don't have those 3 things together.

Negative, I can do it too, but I generally bring imeriaz along so I can find and pull bunches of asps too.

Also I'm gonna have to agree with felyn, grouping is terrible money, and seemingly always will be. It's primarily why I don't bother with it personally.

Grouping is a decent source of money when you have shitty gear and little to no aa's as for most classes, you can't do much else. However, after investing a rediculous amount of time xping and AA'ing your chars, you an solo (2 box) areas that other people group in. This is where the money is for a lot of people, and tbh, I think that's how it should be. HHK pre nerf, was a great place to group for money, even it it was only 2 people 2 boxing a lot of the time. However, that got nerfed, so I don't think the idea is to make people want to group for money, because if so, I think they would have chagned more zones to reflect the profit you used to be able to derive from HHK.

TBH I hate the fact that soloing is so much better plat then grouping. I'd rather group any day of the week but the plat is just bad in comparison. I can make 1-2k an hour farming myself + a box, versus 300-400 tops an hour unless I go to deep fr or EF and we get items, and manage to sell them. Not to mention it means I can get plat whenever I want rather then having to wait for guildmates or friends to get on so I can get plat. Sure its not the same xp, but i'd rather be done farming a charm and just need xp, then have to farm plat and be done with tomes and aa's.

Negative. Even at the lower end of 65 with all droppables, you are still better off solo farming than with most if not all groups at your appropriate tier.

You do have to know where to look, but I've done it. Aisling wasn't always awesome.

I read this as far less of a "why nerf my farm spots" and more of a "can we have greater detail on patch notes".

Like, if a dev makes a change, he can type it down in a couple short minutes. Have patch notes as a seperate tab on the mainpage, and have the main page for major events and news type stuff. If the staff wants to make an effort for transparency (per Woldaff's post) (and this is in no way tinfoiling) they can just add really quick, short patch notes.
