Rune Patterns, Golden metal shields, Quest molds

Some other guy had a retarded name for what he called his thread, Why do mobs in Lasanth drop newbie quest armor pieces that are no drop? they are annoying to loot, annoying to destroy, and if you dont the corpses just pile up and arent all neat and tidy as they should be why not remove them from loot table? replace it with... 1-2pp Gems what you make stays the same... something but wow the bodies do pile up its like a CK raid...
 
ok first off, there is no rune patterns, there is runeprinted leather straps. Second off there is no golden metal shields, they are golden metal sheets. Third there is no molds, they are called patterns. And lastly, the quest they are for would be called the wyvernfang armor quests. So which post is stupider?

edit: before anyone mentions it, i know stupider isnt a word, and theres lots of grammatical errors in here, i just dont care, this aint an english class.
 
You both have points, despite similarly attrocious grasps on the English language!

This stuff probably shouldn't drop from 40+ mobs because it's a mid level quest and has been for quite a while. Similarly, using proper grammar and spelling (to the best of your ability) really helps get a post across.

edit: I missed that he attacked bigdros' previous post and called it "stupid." I thought bigdros was just attacking Thellra's grammar, and then saying that he didn't care a bout grammar. Oh well. As long as it's readable...
 
It shouldn't, but the explanation behind it is just a little dash of laziness. I.E. some loot was copy/pasted over from other NPCs (basicly.) :p
 
Shared loot tables. Some high level mobs share loot tables with low level mobs. Until we get around to making them their own loot tables, suffer it.

Or start a list here of which mobs are dropping it complete with full names to help speed the process!
 
Cave horrors in lasanth drop either a pattern or a material every time, i think. Any of the mobs that spawn deeper in first ruins, past the castle part. Castle mobs dropping them is good, but to kill the mobs past the castle u really need a group of 40+. Thats all I can think of currently.

edit: Oh another edit, my grasp of the english language is as good as anyone else's on this board. I have a college degree, as surprising as it is(if u knew me irl). I just prefer to type like I talk, I am rather, ghetto.
 
40 plus for mobs past the castle? We get damned good xp there at 65. The mobs before the castle are fantastice xp for a mid 40s group, even low to high 50s.

I think the entrance mobs were right around level 40 IIRC.

I doubt anythign in this zone should drop those items, but I just loot them and destroy them every 20 minutes or so to make room for more loot. It would be nice to see them drop higher level items, but not the end of the world as it is now.

Next time I am there will try to make a list of all the mobs and post it here.
 
I got a pattern off of a rhino in EW, which is now a 40+ zone. I don't see any need for these mobs to drop the quest materials.

So I take it that this time making the quest pieces NO DROP was intentional, and not a mistake like last time? :(
