Doing good, doing good. Efik and I broke up last week, she's all moved out. Trucking onward. Been raiding Cataclysm on Illidan. Fucking so bored these days.
 
cool i played on illidan for a long time. i created the guild excessive gaming but its dead now

speaking of wow, im playing on that vanilla server that thade posted.
 
Oh nice. I started playing because a friend convinced me to come back and play with him. He bought a lvl 25 guild and then like a week later, he joined some big raiding guild. And the guild he bought was obviously pretty inactive. I recently joined another raiding guild and I'm working my way up. But I didn't have to grind much, he sent me a res scroll and I revived a 54 priest I had from 2007.

vanilla wow is a lot like original eq in that people think they remember it was good but it really wasn't as good as they remember it being, or at least the content they'll be spending the most time on sure isn't. re: the nerd rose tinted goggles effect

It only applies to people who have had an account prior to 2009, and you haven't had it active since then. They bump you to 80 so you can at least be remotely close to whoever sent you the scroll to come back and play the game. You get this god awful stock set of class gear that you quickly replace. The worst part about it for me, is that I missed a lot of rep grinding that I would naturally raise leveling up. This also applies to professions.

that was one of the fun parts i agree but let's be honest here when we acknowledge that being competitive in pvp in vanilla wow depending on current patch and available raid content and your guild's current progression required the weekly clearing of up to 3 longass raid zones to gear up, because the honor system was broken and the rewards were not better for pvp than raid gear

if it's a 100% faithful emulation then you are doing all of the bad shit way too often and i don't want to remember more about vanilla wow so i am going to end this post right now before i throw up
