Rogues, and TG

two rogues in emberflow is hax, and your anecdote about 3 rogues on a raid being amazing was done as often as possible for a while in exo.

Sorry, but you are wrong, and looking to solve a nonexistant problem with an unrelated solution. Theres really no reason to keep this thread going.

I raided a rogue, for a very long time. Rangers with bows out DPS us

Awhile back, gm's/dev's did some parses of rangers vrs rogues at different tiers. Their conclusion, was that rangers with bows and high dmg arrows, should be out damages rogues slightly.

This is patently false, as proved by you in your link to the ranger vs. rogue dps thread, which shows clearly that the modified numbers set rogues at doing SIGNIFICANTLY more damage than rangers on melee or ranged. Those parses were done on 'moderate' dps mode.

Recent new data for these classes obtained over the last several weeks confirm that, at least at the low end, those numbers still hold for rangers vs. rogues across all dps modes: including trivial, moderate, good, and max dps. (The difference between dps modes is additional buffs and use of styles).

Im curious what rogue you are comparing to losing in dps to a ranger on most fights, The only times Ive found this true is when I am dualboxing and said ranger is nomming giantkins. I wonder where that thread went about giantkin being useless for rogues.

Actually, my parsing data shows this should be false too - a ranger using a bow gets very little increase from giantkin: like a rogue's BS modifier, the refresh rate seems to be capped. In this case, if the ranger is outdps'ing you, it's likely all dps lost to boxing. (Unless you're talking about a melee ranger getting giantkin, that could happen as you have described it).

Bottom line, rogues should have little to fear from ranger dps.
