Restarting after server select

I have been reading the other posts regarding the game restarting after selecting the server but I did not find any mention of a good, final fix for the issue.
The game and patcher are both running in XP SP2 compatability mode. No firewalls or anti-virus softwares are loaded. I am using a wireless NIC going to a linksys switch which is hooked to a satellite internet connection. I have done the simple things such as rebooting computer, switch, and satellite modem. I have downloaded the AMD_DC_OPT program which is supposed to give priority on one processor instead of 2. I have uninstalled and re-installed game as well as done full patches regularly. I have included a portion of my DXDIAG but if more information is needed, I will provide it.

I have done some checking on my end and the problem seems to be related to satellite internet. I took my laptop out wardriving and was able to connect when I "borrowed" a DSL or cable connection, but when I "borrowed" a satellite connection, I could once again not connect. Could someone else verify this for me, or perhaps a dev can check to see if there is some kind of a timeout setting that will kick you off. Perhaps if that was increased by some small amount, this would allow more people to connect.
