Request about Dire Charm

Chamelion

Dalayan Beginner
I would like to request that Dire Charm's reuse timer reduced to 30 mins. The following are my reasons for asking this.

1. insta boot from zones causes you to loose pet.

2. zone crashes

These are the two major reasons. In places like cmal, elds, sseru and others zones the insta boot happens often. While in cmal last night, I had a DC pet less than 10 mins before I got the random boot. Only to come back and have to wait almost 50 plus minutes for reuse timer.

The only real time i have used DC has been as a support pet. Given the number of AAs that are required, this is not an easy one to get. With the current issues, it is easier to charm a 55 mob with out spending the extra mana buffing it (vog, etc) with Boltran's, than it would be to use Dire Charm and spend the mana buffing it to only loose it 15 mins later.

Does this happen 100% of the time? no. However I feel this does happen enough that it makes DC less desireable and less practical in it's use. The reducing of the reuse timer is just a suggestion I game up with, i'm open to anything else that might help on this issue. Only three classes can use this abilitity. Druids, Necros, Enchanters. Please when time permits, look into this issue.

Thank you for the time.

I just wanted to add that I group with Chamelion often and it is very rare that he holds a DC pet long enough for the AA to refresh for another. Very bothersome.

Timers for AA are client controlled and cannot be changed.

I'm not so sure they are, actually...
Hmm... that's what I've heard (that the times are fixed that is)
Me too, that's why you can't just switch any aa with any aa. The custom aa's have to fit in time with the non-custom aa's.

Dire charm

Is it possible to maybe have dire charm stay with mob until you can get back in from character screen. Sorta like when I have my sorc pet and ld to character screen , if I log right back on I still have my pet.

"Normal" pets stay over logouts (dunno about wizards pets though) makeing a DC pet stay over LD might fark up so you can zone with it ?
Might be totaly out of line but...
I know it's friggin annoying that right after you DC a pet you go LD and have to wait the eh... 1h 15mins ??? or so to get a new one.
I had a RL friend on live who went LD every 30 mins, exactly when he had played for 30 mins he went LD, and he never figured out the problem (and he played a mage) after many mails to sony and some GM's checking him he got the perk that his pet stayed with him if he LD'ed and came back before 10 mins. That was pre installing it to everyone.

Let dire pet stay for 10 minutes after ld, if possible. Or 5 minutes. Enough time to reboot, if needed, and log back in.

If the time cannot be shortened, is there at least a way to have it not be used on a mob that is to high of level? Or perhaps give enchanters a spell to locate a mob that is 50? It could be 61 plus. In some zones it's not a problem to get a DC pet, but example of in some zones where nothing is LB, and you know that mob X can be anywhere from 50 to 55.

So if the timer cannot be shortened, is it possible to have

A. ) The ability not be used if a mob is to high of a level ?

or

B. ) Get a spell at higher levels 60 plus such as (sense: weak will?)
that would point us in the direction of the nearest 50 mob?

Allure is usually a pretty good indication. If it can be charmed by allure it can usually be dire charmed. You only get a couple that are a level too high still.

Only trouble I've had with this are some SL mobs which will wander 49-52 and some in cmal. And perhaps a couple in velks.
