It's called progress. Pac Man and Space Invaders were cool in the day, but Doom 3 looks a whole hell of a lot better. Some people need to face reality. The new models are a substantial improvement over the old ones.

It's funny how you don't even mention the animations. Now, as someone who has quite extensive 3D game art experience, I can recognize the weaknesses in the oldworld models - yes they have some shitty UVW mapping, especially the large races which have really really ugly stretching along the sides of the torso.

*HOWEVER*

With that said, they have absolutely brilliant animations. Did I say brilliant? I meant fucking amazing animations actually, better than what you see even today in EQ2. *THIS* fact makes me choose them over the Luclin models, it is NOT that I'm blinded by oldschool, I just choose animation quality over polygons, PERIOD.

What I won't do however is claim that this is the 'correct way' to play, like you seem to want to do with your Luclin propaganda.
