refresh blindness

I was aware of the official justification for blindness, but it made so little sense to me that I wondered if there was a "real" reason.

this is getting fixed anyway. I will go back to the old refresh before I have people see themselves die and go ARGHGHGHG every hour. Secrets is on the case!

Also we are in the process of fixing the ability to instantly boot your toon from game from char select on moment of log in. Going to have the kick be at the very end to avoid exploitation (which is currently happening). All these things should go in fairly soon.

We have secret works on the way. If you have another idea besides "Argh Woldaff is wrong let me see my corpse who cares" feel free to continue discussion. Nothing is happening until the char select and blind fixes go in.

I'd like to suggest refresh blindness be removed.

Rezzing this thread, thanks for implementing faster refresh times (ie not having to zone to Nexus and back)
However I dont think it's working as intented /cm refresh causes invis / ivu to drop due to casting self blind or whatever game mechanic. /q a client and youre able to hold any invis buffs and log back in almost the same time. I will ask that blindness on /cm refresh is removed as is unnecessary and breaks buffs, forcing people to /q clients instead of using /cm refresh.

I erased my original post because its really rare that you'd need to keep invis through a refresh.

As this topic is resurected I would like to ask again:-

Please can I have (the option for) the old refresh back.

Thx

I currently use /q, but the old refresh is simpler to use (fewer key strokes).

I do not use current refresh because of the blind.

I don't get it. Despite it being faster and less work than /q, you don't use it because it blinds you? Is being blind for 10 seconds while you're out of the zone really that big of a deal? I can maybe understand it for when you're invisible and don't want to lose invis when you come back but that really doesn't come up often enough for it to matter, you can just /q in those instances.
