Reflection Shield

Reflection Shield is a proc off Klazka (and also Akzalk) which is a 10% reduction on incoming DD's (duration 1 minute). Now this doesnt sound too bad at a first glance, but I (as well as most - if not all - others) feel that overall it's a detriment to the item. For one, it requires you to free up a buffslot solely dedicated to this proc (or have another buff overwritten). Secondly, the 10% spell shield is not even always on, so it may eat up your buffslot and then fade by the time you actually need it. Lastly, it may seem like much, but in most cases 10% damage reduction on spells is not worth much at all (though it comes at a large cost - the buffslot). If a mob casts a 1k nuke (which is quite large for most mobs), then you only get 100 dmg taken off, and thats IF (1) you dont resist/partially resist it and (2) you even have it on. Yes, it *might* save about 500 hp on some fights (read: about two), but is such a specialized proc worth having at all?

My suggestion is to either:
- Make Reflection Shield a bard song buff
- Make it a worn effect
- Change the proc to something else

I would suggest the last of the three, with Klazka having a lifetap/dd proc and Akzalk perhaps a smaller lifetap/dd. You could say something like, the mob sees itself in the mirror and inflects damage on itself or something. Would kinda make sense~

Anyways, I sincerely hope that you will consider changing the proc on this item (now that its more common and I know other people hate it too). Thanks for listening :)

ps. is it still due for a graphic change? :p

Any word from admin about this? We really really really hate this proc with a passion. MoTG Stick type proc would be :10bux:

It blocks Giantkin which makes Maimai sad :(

Well, it doesn't directly block Giantkin. It does however take a buff slot and after you slap on all the various hp, regen, resist, etc it's not easy to find 2 slots. One for the sword proc and one for Giantkin :(

I got one of these blades recently and I have to agree. This proc is such a nuisance! If there would be some way to make this a bard song, at the very least, that would be so much more appropriate. As a paladin, I constantly need slots open for my HoT and Yaulp so I never have many open buffslots (and I constantly have to drop important spells as it is) which means spells get overwritten constantly now with the appearance of this proc.

Btw, out of curiousity does the effect stack with bardsong DD reduction Melody of the Shield?

Inquiring minds want to know. . . .

As a spell probably so. I bet it doesnt stack with the paladin ability Protection of the Lady as it has the same effect (except Lady having a higher spell reduction) and same spell icon.
