One that focuses on the raid completing tasks / waves etc that are not tank 'n spank centered. While this is going on the tank locks the named mob into an encounter of DISTRACTING PROPORTIONS! The tank gets a superbuff and a super grow for some kickass one-on-one action; not a healing-needed situation but instead just event-style for flavor.

Just picture it: You tank in all his natural sexy glory standing as tall as a giant engaged with your foe while your raid scurries about completing tasks that weaken him (aka a chunk of his hp).

Pretty damn close. Everything except the giant warrior tank. We used to have our raid split into 3 groups all doing different things during the fight to make it work.

In fact, a lot of PoFire's encounters require splitting your raid up to do different tasks.

I'll say it for the 100th time, my favorite raid zone ever.
 
Plenty of the tier 11+ fights in SoD involve the raid doing various stuff while the tank is tanking the actual boss, although I think pretty much all of them still involve healers keeping the tank up. There really aren't too many plain tank-n-spank encounters in Spires, Tur'ruj, Sanctum, OG, etc.
 
Still want to see something that just gives a flavor of pushing someone into a duel; lore text given during fight but your'e not focusing on keeping that guy alive. Instead everyone else does other things. Looks cool in my head.
