Did you even see how much fame you get for each action granting it ?
Unless you make a publicity of the magnitude of Wal-Mart's , I dont see you getting enough for that.
Yes I did see what you get for doing Publicity. You can also do things like Tao's events, or the account drive. Either way changing your race should cost a hefty amount. Races are not that different, if you want a different model that bad, bug my enchanter Oeovoilo I bet he will spare a SB illusion for you.
The thing is when you get SB illusion you cant change traits, which sucks.
And like you said, changing race isn't that much of a difference in terms of playability so it shouldn't be that much of an hassle if granted.
Giving a little negative should be just fine.
That being said, it's not allowed to do yet so that's just speculation.
Agreed, but in some cases it's just for shits and giggle. I personally just wanted DE. It's not everyone that wanna gets rerolled to iksars ya know.

I guess sticking to once, like a name change... then again some people would just change name and race after doing some weird shit just to cover their asses.

1 million is way too much and no one really has that much money actually.
Most high end just reroll toons and get them good charms as well.
I was more thinking of something along 10 to 100 k . and only once, like previously mentionned. It's not hard to incorporate this lore-wise either. Even a quest to do this would be pretty fun.

The only buyable race changes, if ever allowed at all, should be restricted to those which your class can already be from the start.
Edit: My reasoning: Effort in character( in this suggestion paying plat) is rewarded with an opportunity to change to a race that fits within the system. But effort out of the game (90% of the ways to get fame) rewards you with something that is extra for the game.

This removes the main allure in a race change, the reason you want them is because off the buffslot crisis. The people who want them to get racial benefits are seriously the minority unless you are a top 5 cleric.
Cyzaine or someone mentioned donators receiving worn racial illusion ammo slots or something a while back in irc, this was a nice idea
