Quest Help Clarificaton

I would just like some clarification on whether or not it's against the rules to pay in-game funds (platinum) to a person or people for help on a quest. Specifically, I am after devourer flanks from the ice devourers in dreadlands. Try as I have, I cannot solo them. I also can't seem to find a group or even a tank + healer to help. Is it allowable to "hire mercenary help" in SoD? Thank you.

The item you are after is a [NO DROP] item.

What you describe then amounts to paying for [NO DROP] items. As such, it is disallowed.

This is completely rediculous imo. Not like a lvl 30 trying to pay someone to do something he's way under level for. Dude needs help and nobody willing to help him. Next step = incentive to help.

I will help you if i'm on and you're willing to send a tell to Sinjirikowinaki.

You have become too nice and logical, Captain Venerate.

I would give it 5 minutes before people were selling looting rights to high end raid gear and items like Eldritch Spell Scroll.

The rule was not created in a vacuum, and the environment under which the problem existed hasn't changed to be one where the problem would not resurface immediately.

As such, the policy should stand. There has to be a line drawn somewhere for this kind of thing, and the line has been drawn at the [NO DROP] and [PRISTINE] item tags. If it was desired for him to be able to pay for them, they'd be droppable.
