It seems I have problem with this specific map file. I've managed to log on, and start new characters in the dream, but when they finish and try to zone to south newport, I get a message box pop up that says:

Everquest cannot load the zone file \"qeynos.s3d\" in the directory that you are currently running Everquest from. The file is present but it may be corrupt. \n\nPlease either reinstall or delete and repatch this file. \n\n For assistance with this problem, please call (858) 537-0898 or visit out website at http://www.everquest.com

I have tried deleting and recopying the file from the other live EQ installation - i've tried deleting it and running the patcher, tried the full patch option, even tried running the eq patcher - none of it has helped. My main and 3 toons are all in this zone - any ideas?

Edit: Adding i'm on Win 2000

Which patcher are you refering to when you say 'the patcher'? There's the EQLive Patcher and the SoD Patcher.

By Game patcher, I mean that once i've run the sod patcher, selected patch and run, I get a window for Eq Beta, version 2.5 I think, though the version number might be wrong. That has a few check options, and one of them is to run the EQ patcher. I did that - saw a qeynos.s3d in amongst the things it downloaded. Tehn of course, I had to do a full repatch of the SoD files. Still says qeynos.s3d is corrupted.

And when I say patcher otherwise, I mean the SoD patcher - and it appears that SoD doesnt modify the qeynos.s3d file, ebcause I don't see it even in a full SoD patch.

Okay, so maybe they revamped EQLive's qeynos with the release of the progression server, and thus you'll have to get it from a friend, until we find a solution. I'm sure someone on IRC can help you if you're subtle enough about it.
