Thread Topic: Warrior agro weapons in the tier 1/2 raid game.

Summary of thread:

For warriors to hold agro, they must, in most cases, use offensive proc'ing weapons. Yet, none of such weapons drop from raid tier 1/2 boss mobs. All of such weapons are quest rewards (faction aligned), droppable (read: farmed, but usually not seen in auction/listsold due to rarity/difficulty of acquistion), etc.

Request:

Add some no drop 1handed weapons with offensive procs and "warrior usable stats/ratios" to tier 1/2 raid mobs, and/or add procs to the current weapons available in the D tmap range to make them "warrior usable for agro purposes." (Ebb/Flow, Pitted Parrying Blade)
 
Check out the Spear of the Great Hunt. It's quest, but not faction aligned. This was mentioned in the other thread as well.

There's also one that drops from the easier targets in NDHK, but that is of course faction oriented. Don't know if there's a dragon-aligned equivalent.
 
I always heard Hammer of Ancient Visions was great aggro. It has nice stats too for how easy it is to get. I bet that could get you through Tiers 1 and 2 easily.
 
The one in NDHK is a tier 3 drop, not tier 1/2.

The Hammer is droppable.

The request is for a no drop item, even at tier 1, that procs an offensive spell that allows a warrior to keep agro on a single target. (Even if said item was secondary only and was seen as an upgrade to the Thurg quest spear.)

Tendril of Protrusion is exactly what you're looking for and I even mentioned it in the second paragraph of the first reply in your original thread.

So you want a Drop Item to drop from a raid mob? Dont think that will ever happend.

Anyway you can always use Throatseeker tier 2 or Wailfury Tier 4

In the thread you've linked in your first post, there's everything you need for aggro at your tier. Nearly every single tier 6 and up main tank still in activity gave you advices to find a weapon or hold aggro better.

I don't think you'll find much support in your request.

However, I like how the warrior community tried to answer your question. Not many, but concerned and helpfull ;).
 
There is a no drop, secondary weapon with a hate proc that drops off of a white con in the Althuna zone.
 
The offhand suggestions are superb here. Personally, I would think the Blind proccing Hammer of Ancient Visions would be the best for your abilities (from what I have read). But do not just aim for your offhand, your main hand should help your agro also. I suggest working as far as possible on Ytrazliarch on your own and get help where you need it. Great weapon for a warrior as it attacks both HP and Mana with a -200 resist mod.

Why all this sillyness, buy a Torment Forged Sword Short for your offhand. Straight up aggro proc.

O edit: I remember (kinda...loooong time ago) back in those tiers1/2 - cmal 1 or 3 gloves were an absolute necessary. Are you spending enough time in Cmal?

If these are the gloves, they seem useful with a 1.2 recast if that is still accurate.

Picking up something like this;

Jnozgn's_Darksteel_Aegis

Might be useful for shielding the Pally or SK tank. If he is up there anyway. No stats, but it's a fair piece of ac for situational equipment. I know no one gets excited about secondary utility jobs but ... what do I know. I'm in the back with the healers while the real men rub oil on their nipples, or whatever melee do.
 
The cast time is 1.2 but the recast is more like a minute or two, maybe longer.
 
Torment Forged Short Sword or Hammer. If I remember, I'll update Wiki with stats. Need all twisted ore on the server to stock folks though. Combine is a bitch.
 
WTF. Smiths can forge those?

Without giving too much of a spoiler, how does one discover the recipe? Is this a quest of some sort? Does one come across a scroll in raid loot?

Kero, if you don't mind answering, what is the failure rate on those?
