Problem with d3dx9_30.dll

I fully patched my game that I just got today. I set it to upgrade to the one mentioned in the startup guide, now when I try to run it from the patcher I get an error saying it can't find d3dx9_30.dll Please help me fix this so I can play. It says I should re-install but I hope I don't have to.
 
Found this on the everquest forums with a bit of googling, since my friend was having the same problems even though directx was installed.

. Get the June 2006 DirectX 9.0C redistributable version (Caution: Download is about 52 MB) at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...75-7b26-4916-8e5f-6f88a5bc09c5&DisplayLang=en
2. Run directx_jun2006_redist.exe. Extract the files to an easily identifiable directory. This is the 1st most important part, getting the right file.
3. Go to the directory the files were extracted to in step and Run "DXSETUP.EXE" from that directory. This is the 2nd most important part, going to the right directory and actually running setup program.
4. Accept the license agreement. Allow the installer to update the DirectX components.
 
Had this problem today and it's not directx related. I clicked advanced on the SOD login and selected the repatch all option and ran it again and it fixed it after updating some stuff.
