....I'm going to ask it anyway :)

What expansions do I have to load in order to play SoD?

I have hunted around and seen many times the answer of 'Patch up to and including LDoN'

By this, do I have to load

EQ Original, Kunark, Velious, Luclin, PoP and LDoN?

If so I'm in trouble as my LDoN disk 1 is corrupted.

Apologies if this is answered somewhere else, if it is though I couldn't find it easily ;)
 
Thanks - that makes sense as it's taking a lot longer to patch than I thought it would :)

Oh well, I'll see once it's done.
 
Not a stupid question. not really sure what the answer was either. Are you REQUIRED to install ALL the EQ ADD ONS like RoK, SoV, SoL, PoP? Or are you just supposed to install the basic EQ and then just be sure to get the patches for everything? I'm just a bit confused and frustrated because I've tried most of the suggestions I can find here in the tech forums but I can't log in and I'm not sure what to do next...

I have
installed EQ & all the other chapters up to PoP, then patched with the advanced feature up to and including DoN, I don't own DoN so if it's required then that's my problem. If not required then NEXT I deleted the EQ maps subdirectory, unzipped the Shards maps into EQ. ran the patcher. everyhing SEEMS to be fine but I can NEVER log in. I always get the "unable to connect to log in server" error message. (yes I did create an account on the SoD server.)

PS
seems like this will be fun (if I can get on). I don't think my ports are a problem. Running DSL and the patches all seem to go fine...
