Priest Relic heals

For this to be unbalanced, you first have to define what the gap between cleric and shaman should be - ie 50% better, 20% better, what - and then compare both big and fast heals to determine the reality of the situation.
Without any definition as to what this gap should be all the 'suggestions' are pointless. I really haven't seen anything concrete that suggests a change is necessary.

Best shaman slow is 50%(if we ignore the super rare arhaic), same as enchanter and beastlord. Only those with The Ancestral mask do 55%. I agree with both sides, shamans have insane mana regen, but also Woundbane is a pretty weak heal. Its great for groups, but useless on raids. On raids i mostly use Choroshock, since it has a really fast cast time and it heals just enough to keep the tank alive untill the big heal lands.

If you're prepared to give up some mana regen, I would be open to discussing better heals, but not just a plain upgrade without taking anything away.

but the thing is f shams get to big a buff then druid are at a disadvantage. The was i see it is clerics are the healer, HoTs and bigger heals all around esspecially since new quick heal. Druids are a little lower than clr's but can do "dmg"(if you call it that and if you are talking raid only druids are just a weaker clr). Shams heal less but their slow makes up for the healing and their regen lets them sustain pads throughout much of a fight. But if you factor slows into the benefits of healing than the classes a balanced decently currently. Correct me if i wrobg but i thought this was the intended role of each class. Thus buffing shaman would hurt all around balance. Healer should all heal but you have to factor a class as a whole

I personally would be willing to give up some mana gained from canni4/5 for bigger heals or a target based non-slowing torpor. IDK how other shamans feel but the ones I've talked to in the end game all seem to think that shaman healing is underpowered vs the rest of the healers.

I have to say that I have been pretty content with my shaman since day one. When you choose a shaman, you're really choosing a class that excels in versatility. Yes, clerics and druids get buffs and heals, but shamans are capable of debuffing and dpsing along with those other aspects. Obviously, by being able to adapt to so many different roles, I expected to be fair to good in all the roles, but never the best...goes with the territory. If I had to pick one class that I thought would least likely need a revamp, I would say shaman.

Agreed.

Shamen really have their place, and defined role. They're not toted as healers, nobody expects them to keep a raid tank standing. That's just fine. Raids generally don't excel without them.

Have to agree with the sentiments there having botted shamans in groups, raids, and duoing fairly extensively. They get pretty sick to begin with.
