Potion Stacking?

I was under the impression that potions were suppose to stack with shammy buffs. However, the potion Talisman of the Raptor/Gorilla (+30 to str/dex/agi/sta) both overwrite a 62s shammy buffs, both single and group versions. They overwrite agi and str buffs according to the symbol of the potion. Is this intended? Or just a bug?

Potion stacking is kinda tricky. What I've learned: ranger/druid str buff will stack with Str potion, but not with Str/sta potion. Str potion will stack with str/sta potion. Str/sta potion will stack with EoT. The icon is generally a good indicator of whether or not they will stack. If you already have a buff on that uses the same icon as the potion you are about to quaff, then it won't stack. This isn't 100%, but it is a starting point.
