Alot of the info in game seems to be 'common knowledge' , of course, knowledge only becomes common once you actually know it.

So, I was wondering if there was an FAQ or similar, pertaining to the list of changes that each class has undergone, including skills, stat changes, spell changes etc.

I have looked around here and on Wiki site, but haven't found much in the way of relevant information.

If this does exist, could someone point me to it, if not and there is a good reason why it doesnt exist, that is fine also.

Using the search function on here has produced the best results, but only snippets / offhand comments.
 
I really don't believe any revision history exists (may be wrong - but I never recall seeing one). The forums are one of the best sources of information, the Wiki is nice, but it definately could use some improvement in terms of information (but that is on the community to improve - and I will again start doing my part once I start collecting more information on my ranger). 2 things that I could add to the above suggestions to maybe help out a bit more:

1) Using the Search Feature, enter "Wiz" as the author to see all posts by Wiz. There are close to 2k to go through, but if you look through the threads authored by Wiz you will find a good amount that deal with changes to be implemented. And don't be scared by dates, there is some fairly dated information that is still valid (at least to an extent).

2) Old World EQ information. Yes, this is not EQ by any means, but in some areas, the information is fairly close. For instance, stat caps will not always be the same, but the original values and the new values are often not far off. I had an old EQ guide book that covered up through kunark/vel that wasn't perfect but was a help in terms of getting some basic information together.

And when all else fails, asking for that common knowledge never hurts - the community here is great and be it here or in /ooc - you will often get a fairly quick response if the answer is known.
 
Also, don't be discouraged if someone gives you a smart answer in /ooc. It probably means they don't know and is just a way to bring humor to the game. It's better than everyone just saying "I don't know" which will let you know they heard you, but they don't know the answer. I've been known on occasion to give smart answers to questions :)
 
Well I have lots of experience playing a ranger, but it is all on live (was 70 ranger 250+ aa etc etc), and was considered amongst those who knew me to be a fairly competent ranger (ranger head in guild etc etc).

Of course none of that really matters here, as much has changed.

Its the changes that I wanna know about, but as it seems that no such document yet exists (at least not in one place), I'll start putting together an FAQ of my own and post it here, of course I would need to be high level to include all the changes, so it wont be forthcoming for quite some time.

Thanks for the advice, I will see what I can find by searching Wiz's posts and possibly post a basic ranger faq at some point, as long as that isn't breaking a rule I am not aware of.
 
No rule against collecting and posting information gathered via the game. Using something along the lines of a packet sniffer though is against the rules.

And if you are putting together a FAQ - I would suggest utilizing the Wiki as much as possible as it can change on the fly and gives you a place to store the information. Just be sure to try to follow the formatting utilized in the Wiki. And Ill be happy to assist with information with rangers as much as possible (just started one myself). I won't be high level for awhile (only casual) but planned on building the ranger database (Wiki) myself in due time :)
 
LOL...no, not interested in sniffing packets etc :p Only legally obtained info.

Will get a few more levels (currently 16 wuwu), before I start, cos at the moment I know hardly anything about the changes, bar a few things.

Gonna have a better look at wiki soonish, and see how it can be utilised in my plan to take over the world, etc.
