I realized tonight that Phase Ward (what I thought was a shield that drops in Prison) doesn't register as a shield. I have one on both my cleric and warrior. Neither character can bash, and my warrior can't /shield others.
Is this intended? If not, how soon can it be changed? My guild awarded Darm a Phase Ward so that he could use the /shield command strategically at raids. I feel terrible having looted it, considering it doesn't act as a shield.
