Pets Disappearing on zoning

I've noticed since the last patch pets seem to disappear... I've noticed it happen if I have any agro, and also, if I don't, but it doens't do it everytime.....

Is this a bug that should get buglisted? :brow:

I've had the same problem as you, although, it's *only* happened whenever I zone and my pet is currently engaged in combat, not otherwise. Infact, whenver my pet is engaged in combat and I zone, it *ALWAYS* dissapears.

This leads me to beleive it's an intended feature--a counterbalance for the fact that our pets now retain their buffs and equipment while zoning. I know it's personally made my pet a lot more effective, so it seems reasonable that if we get in combat over our head, we pay the price of loosing the buffs and summoned equipment we threw on our pets.

...Although, if it's not intended, that'd just be peachy-keen and whatnot with me, too. :)

Your pet can't flee from combat. If you zone and it is engaged in combat, it perishes.

This is probably nit-picky, but I had a situation here that I'd like to bring to attention.
We got a bad pull in Akheva and I cast an evac with my wizard while I had a mob on me. The text said that my pet had hopped through a portal (or some such) but my pet didn't reappear on the other side.
Based on what you said above, this makes sense. The nit-picky thing is, my pet did get ported. Part of me thinks it should reappear after the evac. I mean it is not like I ran away while the pet was still fighting, the pet supposedly got away too.

Just as a minor addition, I had this happen a couple days back: my pet had snagged aggro on something while I was running towards a nexus rift. It died when I zoned through to the other side. No big deal, pets die, that's what they're for.
But when I resummoned it, it's hp was at the point they were at when I had zoned the into nexus. So I then had to let it heal back from around 30% before I could go hunting.
Was this an intentional effect, to keep people from hunting near a zone line, popping across to safely summon a new pet when the old was near death, then coming back to finish the mob before it regens?
