petition to save the axes from dying out

back in the day when i was lower level, i remember seeing axes drop and i remember wearing them (trapper's cleaver ftw!).

when i reached 65 and started wearing raid loot, i never wore an axe again, in fact i can't even think of a raid mob that drops a decent axe for high level toons. when i wanelo for other 65 characters, what do i see them wearing? mostly swords, some rogues wear daggers, casters and monks often wear blunt weapons... but nobody out there is wearing an axe! axes are cool! it's a shame that there don't seem to be any good axes in the endgame.

that's why i want to suggest to add a few good axes to the endgame. would be cool to see some high level players wear axes too. everybody and their mom seems to have a wide selection of swords... i am tired of seeing everybody use swords. save the axes!

Man, I have to agree with Gonret. Axes are the best, and I cannot think of a single end-game axe.

yeah actually the only axe weapon that comes to mind as being end game decent would be that experimental one or the Rage that drops from Tmaps, rage is kinda rareish but a few people have it, cool weapon that rage!

The best axes i have seen so far are Rage, Chillspine battle axe, Battle Axe of the frozen golem, and some runic Axe.

also i looted a halberd off a goblin outrider in red sun peaks that had a nice look to it that could be used for a possible good halberd weapon that may come in sometime.

i also feel the there should be more good weapons of various types. my warrior would love to get his hands on some axes or spears that are 1hd and look nice at the same time. i usually only see swords, 1hbs and similar items that are any good such as torment forged hammer and short sword. how about a torment forged axe or spear ect? i think you all get the point now.

first i would love a nice one handed axe for my warrior. second conan did use a axe in the first movie it was in the battle at the standing/death ground of the ancient kings. he kills a few people with it before throwing it at one person on a horse. but on a more in game note AXE's are cool and i do have one it earth shaker axe of destruction a 2 hander. but would love a nice one hander to pair off with my ruby hilted long sword. yours hason the warrior :dance:

Any self-respecting Dwarf should use an axe, but Dwarves seem pretty rare, from what I can see.

As far as polearms, I don't know about endgame, but raid level theres still the Blackblade and it looks pretty decent, imho.
