Damage shields a while back were moved to where they can only be cast on PC's that are 5 levels higher or lower, or something close to that fact. I dont beleive this affects 50+ characters.

In the past you could cast a DS as long as it was no more then 20 levels higher then the level of the target.

I think you can still cast the DS appropriate for that player's level. Like the lv 9 DS on a player that's lv 12 regardless of your level? Correct me if I am wrong.

Best way to stop people from power leveling. The damage shields that are appropriate for the level of the character is still quite good. Having a 45 pt. damage shield on a level 45 character is ludicrous. Just run them through Miel B getting wacked on by the disciples, and you can get a level in 20 minutes, if not less.

That's quite hypocritical coming from someone who's just powerlevelled his shaman using a higher level druid and dmg shield (before the nerf).

Frankly I think its incredibly stupid, I was grouped the other day in a normal group. lvl 49 warrior, with a 65 mage, 54 cleric etc, 54 shaman. And the mage could not DS the warrior with his highest dmg shield. I don't see any point in that whatsoever. It was a normal xp group where everyone was contributing something, not a PL circumstance.

My understanding is that once you hit 50, the level restrictions go away. Sounds like your warrior is almost there, so chin up! :)

Hahaha, that's awesome. I'm certainly not perfect!

How about an adjustment so as pets arent as affected by this. Druid pets are below level 50 and i can only use my level 49 DS spell on it. Since it is my pet I should be able to cast my highest DS on it. I can agree with the PC restriction.

I think Wiz said he did (or would?) put in something that let all your buffs hit your pet to address that particular issue.

drat and double drat - there goes my power leveling for hire service.

Now, what to try next - I know - I will earn my status in this world - wait that won't work...

hrm... I will have to think about this one.
