Pet Hold

Can druids please have it? Rangers got auto-fire and that was slated to never happen, ever. This would be such a nice ease-of-use type change.

Can mages have heal? Rangers got auto-fire and that was slated to never happen, ever. This would be such a nice ease-of-use change.

Can warrior have fd? Rangers got auto-fire and that was slated to never happen, ever. This would be such a nice ease-of-use change.

Can wizards have rez? Rangers got auto-fire and that was slated to never happen, ever. This would be such a nice ease-of-use change.

Can monks have moon comet? Rangers got auto-fire and that was slated to never happen, ever. This would be such a nice ease-of-use change.

it would be cool if pet hold could be canceled by telling your pet to attack a target rather than only by using follow though because hotkeying follow just for that specific purpose is pretty terrible. thread saved, peace

The idea is that pet hold adds very little to a druid's abilities. The same effect can be generated by spamming pet back off very, very hard. One might say similarly to a ranger's whack a mole with the ranged attack button previously. Those classes cannot generate those effects at all. (without outside assistance, obviously)

You may wish to spend your time posting in Loose Plat, as your straw man is worthless here.

it's pretty cool when im pulling and a mob hits the druid pet with an AE which then trains the raid because of no pet hold.

Generally speaking "Someone else got something therefore I should get something" is not a very strong argument. What should the other 13 classes get to make up for Rangers getting autofire once you get /pet hold?

Anywho I think /pet hold could just be made into something everyone can do from level 1 really provided we could think of something to replace Pet Discipline AA.

Mentioning rangers getting autofire was simply a nod to unnecessary button pushing, not an argument that rangers got X so every class should get something as well.

In recent memory ease of use changes have included buff mana cost, cast time, DFX mana regen, changes to /pet attack and similar. These changes simply make what is obviously an outmoded UI and engine more tolerable for SoD players. I do not think that granting druids the use of pet hold would cause riots in the streets concerning the overpoweredness of druid pets. It is simply a change that would allow us to not have to constantly resummon the froggy bastard every time he threatened to wipe a raid due to AE on pull or to eat a whirlwind.

A druid pet should not be a free source of dps without regard to any sort of control, but being able to tell him to not tear off after anything that so much as looks at me funny seems to be a reasonable request.

If you are serious about which AA, it should be crown of storms, which I've only used to pull mobs outside of pet attack range or add extremely mediocre dps to the small selection of targets that don't ae at all on a prohibitively long CD.

Do the everyone gets Pet Hold and make Pet Discipline into an instant cast long duration Pet Haste + Stats killing two birds with one stone.

Make pet discipline in to a way overpowered and game changing pet HOT...
Or just a mild pet Hot...your choice.

My Life for Master

Activating this ability commands your pet to expend itself utterly over one minute to it's own selfess demise. The amount of your pet's HP shaved off every tick in order to reduce it's HP to zero at the one minute mark is directly proportional to the damage increase your pet experiences during that tick, thus pet's with more life to expend will experience a larger increase.

Divide and Conquer

Activating this ability dismisses your pet replacing it with a whole bunch of little mobs that act as swarm pets. The quantity, HP, and ATK of the swarm pets are determined by the available 'mass' (HP) of the pet they constituted.
