Paladin Refuge and Murk spell chance idea's.

I dont think these spells are very usefull, and its a shame, cause Paladins really could use some usefull spells :)

2 Spells that my paladin still use, where i would like an alternative/progression:
Single Target Blind, lvl 55 spell.
Heal, usually i have either lvl 56 Blessing of Althuna or Touch of Vitality mem'd (i also have the lvl 64 self heal up, but its fine, i doubt what ever else heal spells i got that i would drop it).

For the blind, i dont really have a fancy idea.
Simple would be to just make a blind that was atleast as fast, atleast as hard to resist, and did more aggro.
Could make it targeted AE, but only if you wanted to be mean to the Paladin, as he would always be 1 of its 3 targets heheh.

For the heal, i think a Martyrs Intercession spell would be amazing.
Will do some damage, and there for a little aggro. Also cant really controle where the heal goes, but it will for sure be usefull when ever cast.
 
The refuge spell is actually very useful. Maybe not great verse a single target, but when tanking 2+ mobs its a great way to generate some extra agro. Murk is not good, being less mana efficent, awkward since it will target the paladin first, its theoretical use is when exactly 3 mobs go and agro a caster or something, but how often does that actually happen? Paladins are already usually hurting for spell gems, so to have this ultra niche spell loaded is unlikely (I don't know any paladins who have loaded/used it outside of testing)

I'd certainly like to see a new murk spell. I also question the paladin Runic 2. I can't say the spell is useless. It's a small dps boost at the cost of mana/cast time. I feel like it should either be a more significant dps boost since paladins really aren't even competing with other tank dps using it, or more likely swap it to be something that paladins need at the tier they get it - more agro and/or mitigation.

Refugee spell is only really practical once you get to like t8/9 and have some high FT tbh, but after that its pretty useful.

Murk spell is terribad. I would love to see it replaced with something that gave a massive dps boost + silence, or maybe a proc blades that is a PBAOE nuke/aggro proc.

+1 for runic2 going into the murk spot (i could even see it getting a buff, its rather mediocre right now and pallys are already the worst dps vs non undead), and the runic 2 becoming a new cool heal or agro or something to help out pallys at a tier when they really start to fall behind.

I still feel so weird about making the same suggestion for wizards!
 
Contagion
places a small debuff on the mob. -accuracy and some +hate
will spread through magic if able.

the idea is to sicken the target with contagion and then cast ae blind thereby having contagion spread to all mobs blinded. put a check on it so i doesnt perma-bounce between mobs

I had no idea, my bad. I will try this spell some more (recently got up to 14 ft, and can wear mana con 7)...


Perhaps the heal idea could also generate some aggro, and leave a blind like effect on mob, giving me a reason to drop my single target blind spell. The blind effect could block the AE blind, that would make it a little less good.
