Paladin FT and focus effects.

It is entirely within the realm of possibilty that I am way off here but I've been playing a paladin on the server for some time now and for more sometime now ive been raiding with legacy. Im sure we havent seen every drop in the game but Ive seen alot. This post just raises the concern of a lack of focus effects on high end plate/paladin wearable gear. The more I upgrade toward being an acceptable tank the less focus effects my armor seems to have, No healing increment, No duration increment, No flowing thought and no mana conservation. Is it possible to look at higher end paladin wearable gear and perhaps add some of these effects, Im not asking for healing incr 6 on every piece of gear Im just asking that the gear help us with our class's secondary use as a healer.

For instance. The Frost Rim Boots:

MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP
Slot: FEET
AC: 27
Effect: Recovery III (Worn)
STR: +10 DEX: +8 STA: +10 CHA: +7 AGI: +8 HP: +70 MANA: +70
SV FIRE: +8 SV DISEASE: +5 SV COLD: +6 SV MAGIC: +7 SV POISON: +6
Weight: 3.0 Size: Medium
Class: WAR PAL RNG SHD MNK BRD ROG BST
Race: ALL

Would adding an effect of Healing Increment 3/4/5 to these make them too overpowered? Or change the recovery to FT 1/2/3?

Here is another example:

MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP
Slot: RANGE
AC: 28
STR: +12 DEX: +12 STA: +12 AGI: +12 HP: +155
Weight: 2.0 Size: Small
Class: WAR PAL RNG SHD MNK BRD ROG BST
Race: ALL

Perhaps adding Mana Conservation 3/4 to this item would add more utility to the casters who can use.

Im not saying that the items arent great as they stand Im just asking that high end focus items for paladins, and all hybrids in general be given a second look.

Thank you for your time.

I don't know... I think at some point as a 'hybrid', we must begin to make decision on what we are. Are you primarily (in the case of paladins) spot healers, buffers, with decent offtanking ability, or are you a tank?
I think it's a reasonable trade off to have to decide between casting and tanking on gear.
I could be totally wrong though. *shrug*

There might be a point to this. I'll jot it down for future consideration.

tanking is more than just hp... paladins rely a great deal on their mana to get and hold aggro. not just for heals and buffing.

i don't think his request is unreasonable.

I know what knights use their mana for when tanking. I guarantee that it is nearly impossible to go oom while casting just to keep aggro.
If you do go oom casting aggro spells, your group is taking WAY too long to kill the mob.

/edit: I also remember Wiz wanting to make pallies better healers for groups though, so maybe that's where that will tie in.
