Paladin Aggro

Thanks Wiz. A new spell with a lower resist rate sounds great. Has it been added to a vendor in game?

Yeah, it would definitely have bounced most of the time, I'd estimate 120 MR at that level would give you a 80% resist chance against average CHA.
Since when did cha affect your own resist percentage? Or do mobs get assigned charisma scores that affect how well they can land spells themselves?
 
Alright, I'm very thankful for this spell being added, but it looks as though there was also a revision of paladin spell costs. Ethereal Cleansing, the 64 group heal I think, costs 700 mana now!? That's insane. To most pallies, that's 1 1/2 bars of mana or so, what kind of use would that ever be? That's so inefficient for 230hp per tick heal, not even worth wasting the mana on when we have to use mana for stuns / Blinding Light to hold aggro. It used to be 325 mana cost.

I thought pallies were supposed to be the most efficient group healers, or was I wrong? 700 mana for that spell whereas it used to be 325 is insane.

This is a paladin agro thread. I suggest making a new one, with the suggestion of paladin group heals, or just that spell in particular. :v:

This wasn't an intended change.
 
Wiz is generally not a super secret ninja squirrel. If a change such as doubling the cost of a spell went in likely it would appear in the patch notes.

my concern is that blind spells do not work in ...well from my experience from when I used to play with my pally, In most zones (dunno if blind only works in zones that fear is enable but it felt like it). So that means that paladins can only grab agro in those zones, I haven't played my pally in a couple of months so I dunno if this still a problem. From playing a paladin through 50 lvls and a Shadow knight for 64, I have to say that paladins need some MAJOR revamping to be able to match their competitor knight class, the Shadow knights. When I played my paladin I felt frustrated and complained many times about it, I'm currently playing a SK and been having alot of fun not a single complain.
 
Paladin aggro has been given a much needed boost. The blinds work in all zones ive been perhaps it was a bug at the time.
